Description: | The college division at W. W. Norton & Company is seeking a summer intern to assist with editorial projects in the Sociology, Geology, and Anthropology departments. The internship will offer insight into the editorial, marketing, and sales aspects of textbook publishing. Responsibilities will vary, but may include light copyediting and proofreading, researching market data, performing database work, organizing book review programs, assisting with various stages of production, and performing other day-to-day administrative tasks. |
Length of Internship: | 3 months, 20 hours per week |
Requirements: | Candidates should have strong writing skills, be detail-oriented and organized, be comfortable working independently in an office environment, and have an interest in learning more about textbook publishing. Specific work hours are flexible but interns usually work three days per week for a total of 20 hours. College juniors, seniors, and recent graduates preferred. |
