Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The Economics team is seeking a highly motivated summer 2014 intern to assist the emedia editorial assistant in developing, managing, and producing forthcoming ancillaries.
The intern will work with the emedia team in editing and producing instructor and student resource materials. Responsibilities will include light proofreading, formatting test questions, reading textbook manuscripts, reviewing author videos, and other ad hoc projects. The intern will also have the opportunity to work with the print Economics assistant on various book related projects.
Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, self-starting, comfortable working with minimal supervision, willing to learn new programs and skills on the job, and have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred but not required.
The internship is 3 or 4 days a week for three months. The specific work hours are flexible, but interns must be available to work 20 hours per week. Juniors, seniors, and recent graduates preferred.
Location: New York, NY
Payment: $8/hour
