Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: W. W. Norton’s college team is seeking an editorial intern to assist with chemistry and astronomy textbooks, starting February or March (flexible). The internship will offer experience in editorial, production, and marketing aspects of textbook publishing. Responsibilities will vary but will include assisting manuscript preparation, assisting review programs, market research, data entry and management, and basic office tasks.

Length of Internship: Specific work hours are flexible, but interns are expected to work up to a total of 20 hours per week, for about 12 weeks.
Requirements: Candidates should be interested in learning about textbook publishing. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, have the ability to work independently and efficiently, and have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a science background.
Location: New York, NY
Payment: $9/hour
