The sparkhouse video team at Augsburg Fortress is seeking a Post-Production Intern to technically and creatively assist the Post Production Manager in the delivery of video and audio needs for the Video Department during Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production. This paid position will join the video team for 12 action-packed weeks of hands-on experience and learning opportunities. The Post-Production Intern will work closely with many members of the sparkhouse video department, and will report to the Post-Production Manager.

As the Post-Production Intern, you will be responsible for ensuring all assets are edited and accounted for and Production-ready. You will assist in logging footage, maintaining real archive, and organizing photo, video, and audio libraries.

This individual will also execute editing sessions of video and audio, taking creative and technical direction from the Post-Production Manager, and will also communicate regularly with editors, sound designers, and animators. The Post-Production Intern will check in with these individuals and ensure all animated media files are adhering to the standards set for those projects. Other responsibilities include exporting sequences for review/deliverables utilizing a variety of codecs and formats, and other tasks as assigned.
Length of Internship: 12 Weeks - Summer, 2016
Requirements: • Post-Secondary Video Production credits and/or a 2-year degree
• 1-2 years editing experience in video and audio
• 1-2 years animation experience (a plus)
• Demonstrable experience with Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro 6, DVD Studio Pro, and Encore
• Comprehensive familiarity with Adobe Creative suite, including After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Proven knowledge of video formats, codecs, and digital capture tools
• The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and work with team members, budgets, timelines, etc.
• Strong narrative skills
• Compositing and color correction skills (desirable)
• Prior knowledge of ELCA and Lutheran heritage, organizational structures, and mission (helpful)
Location: The Augsburg Fortress paid internship program is robust, and includes flexible scheduling, time off, and no-cost gym access in the 510 Marquette fitness center! The beautiful, corporate, newly re-designed headquarters hosts 120 employees and is located in downtown Minneapolis with adjacent access to light Rail and MetroTransit bus lines, as well as skyway access to restaurants, banks, and shopping centers.
