Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The trade editorial department at W. W. Norton & Company seeks bright, detail-oriented, and reliable candidates who enjoy reading, write well, and, above all, want to learn about book publishing, to participate in our Summer 2016 internship program, which will run from May through August.
Length of Internship: Three months and 3/4 times a week, 20 hours per week.
Requirements: Interns in the trade editorial department are asked to do everything from read manuscripts and proposals to write reader’s reports, assist with permissions for forthcoming books, handle galley mailings, draft catalog and jacket copy, and perform basic office tasks like filing and copying. In general, their job is to help the editorial assistants move projects along from the manuscript stage all the way to publication.

They are usually about 1-2 single-spaced pages in length.)
