Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The college division at W. W. Norton & Company is seeking a summer intern to assist the Business department. This position will work on various projects that will have an impact on all areas of the college division (editorial, emedia, metadata, ecommerce, production, and others).

The internship will provide opportunities to learn about all aspects of textbook publishing from a business perspective, see the ways in which all departments and systems interact, and meet with representatives from various departments. Responsibilities will include assisting with the creation of brand new, department-wide systems, improving the analysis behind our editorial projects, finding ways to revamp the data behind our books, and assisting with weekly projects as needed.
Length of Internship: 3 months
Requirements: Ideal candidates will possess an excellent attention to detail and organization, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work independently and efficiently in an office environment, and an interest in learning more about college textbook publishing. Intermediate experience with Excel is preferred but not required. The schedule is flexible, but applicants must be willing to commit to 20 hours per week for a three-month period.
Location: New York, NY
Payment: $9.00/hr
