Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The History team is seeking a spring 2016 intern to assist the electronic media assistant editor in developing, managing, editing, and producing forthcoming ancillaries. Responsibilities will include light proofreading and editing, formatting manuscripts for instructor materials, reading textbook manuscripts, reviewing author videos, and contributing to other projects as needed.
Length of Internship: Three months
Requirements: Ideal candidates have excellent communication skills and are detail-oriented, organized, self-starting, comfortable working with minimal supervision in an office environment, and willing to learn new programs and skills on the job. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred. This internship is 3 or 4 days a week for three months. The specific work hours are flexible, but interns must be available to work 20 hours per week. College juniors, seniors, and recent graduates with an interest or background in history are preferred.
Location: New York, NY
Payment: $9.00/hour
