Company Name: FABLED FILMS PRESS
Description: Fabled Films Press is looking for an unpaid, part-time publicity/marketing intern to work in our dynamic Union Square office. Interns work 9:30am to 5:30 pm a minimum of three days a week, M-F.

Interns will work closely with the in-house marketing director to execute publicity and marketing plans for The Nocturnals, a new middle grade children’s brand with books, animated shorts and online activities. Interns will be expected to perform research to update database marketing contacts for booksellers, librarians, teachers and the media; follow up on select pitches to bloggers; draw up social media campaigns optimized for multiple platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram); write pitch letters; conduct blogger outreach in advance of author events; generate publicity materials (blog posts, flyers, digital banners) for events; maintain press kits and publicity materials for new titles; write original content for our website and social media; and assist the marketing director with other day-to-day tasks. Ideal candidates should be familiar with various social media platforms (including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, YouTube, and Goodreads). They will also be expected to execute daily mailings of books and other materials.
Length of Internship: The internship runs from May 2nd through August 26th. (Flexible start and finish dates depending on school schedule.)
Requirements: Excellent communication skills; strong attention to detail; ability to multitask and juggle multiple projects; strong writing and research skills; familiarity with social media platforms. Previous experience with book publicity and marketing is appreciated, but not required. Ideal candidates should have an interest in children's books, films and toys.
Location: NY, NY (Union Square)

Payment: Unpaid; we can make arrangements for course credit where possible.
