Description: | The college division at W. W. Norton & Company is seeking a spring intern to assist the Psychology department. The internship will offer insight into the editorial, marketing, and sales aspects of textbook publishing. Responsibilities vary but will include assisting with the preparation of manuscripts and ancillary materials, helping with manuscript review programs, researching market data and competition, writing comparative reports, and completing administrative tasks such as requesting checks, printing, and scanning. |
Length of Internship: | 3 months 20 hours per week |
Requirements: | The ideal candidate is energetic, meticulous, and organized, has strong research and communication skills, and is comfortable working independently in an office environment. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in textbook publishing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required. A background in psychology or the sciences, though not required, is preferred.
This internship will begin mid or late January for a three-month commitment. Interns must be available to work 3-4 days for a total of 20 hours per week. College juniors and seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates preferred. |
