Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: W. W. Norton, the largest and oldest publishing house owned wholly by its employees, is seeking an intern in its College Digital Media group to assist the Economics team from January to April. This internship will give you the opportunity to work on digital and ancillary resources that complement college textbooks, such as student websites, videos, and InQuizitive (Norton’s adaptive learning program), and to explore the various stages of the digital media publishing process. You will gain experience in a number of editorial projects including, but not limited to, preparing manuscript for copyediting and production, cataloging and organizing digital assets, testing digital content and functionality, and assisting with reviews of content.
Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: Ideal candidates will have an interest in learning more about college textbook and digital media publishing. Knowledge of Economics is not necessary. Applicants should possess strong communication skills and be organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask and work independently in an office environment.

Specific work hours are flexible, but interns usually work 3 or 4 days per week for a total of 20 hours over a 3-month period.
Location: New York, NY
Payment: $11/hour
