Company Name: NEW LEAF LITERARY & MEDIA, INC.
Description: New Leaf Literary & Media, Inc. is looking for two interns interested in learning all aspects of the publishing field and the business of a literary agency. Our internship program provides hands-on experience through practical exercises (including evaluating manuscript submissions and preparing readers reports), tutorials given by industry professionals and staff, effectuating a variety of translatable administrative tasks, and career counseling to enhance and support individualized industry goals. Over the course of the program, interns will become well-versed with the inner workings of an agency, from queries and acquisitions to contracts and royalty statements and beyond, and will gain a working knowledge of the varied disciplines and roles available in the publishing and greater entertainment industries. Opportunities to attend various extracurricular events and talks are offered to supplement in-house teachings.

Does not allow for remote interns.
Length of Internship: April - July
Requirements: The ideal candidate has completed at least two years of college, is well read in commercial fiction and non-fiction, has an avid interest in the publishing industry, and is social media savvy. Must be motivated, organized, and discreet, as well as professional and courteous in an office setting.
