Description: | The Countryman Press, a division of W. W. Norton & Company, is seeking an intern for three months beginning in August or September 2017 to assist with a variety of editorial, and administrative tasks supporting our list of cooking, lifestyle, and travel titles. Interest in one or more of these subjects is preferred, though not required. You can see our most recent books at countrymanpress.com.
Responsibilities in this position are wide-ranging and provide significant opportunities for learning. Duties include reviewing submissions and preparing for editorial board meetings, drafting copy for catalogs and book covers, organizing artwork, and more. Candidates must be detail oriented and eager to learn, with excellent written and verbal communication. Applicants should be motivated, independent workers who can work on multiple time-sensitive projects and prioritize deadlines. |
Length of Internship: | 3 months, 20 hours per week |
Location: | New York, NY |
Payment: | $11/hour |
