Company Name: THE OVERLOOK PRESS
Description: The Overlook Press is an independent general-interest publisher, founded in 1971. The publishing program consists of nearly 100 new books per year, evenly divided between hardcovers and trade paperbacks. The list is eclectic, but areas of strength include interesting fiction, history, biography, drama, and design.

The PUBLICITY DEPARTMENT is seeking interns to assist a close-knit team with drafting PR materials, conducting blog and media research, contributing to our blog and social media platforms, and coordinating publicity mailings.
Length of Internship: January-May 2018
Requirements: We are seeking current students or recent graduates with demonstrated interest in publishing/media who can dedicate 15-20 hours a week, workable around the candidate's schedule.

Candidates should be enthusiastic, highly organized, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Photoshop and InDesign skills a plus.
Location: Soho-NYC

Payment: This is an unpaid position. College credit is available.
