Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The Countryman Press, a division of W. W. Norton & Company, is seeking an intern for three months (mid-to-late July 2018 through mid-to-late October 2018) to assist with a variety of publicity, editorial tasks, and administrative tasks supporting our list of cooking, lifestyle, and travel titles. Interest in one or more of these subjects is preferred, though not required. You can see our most recent books at countrymanpress.com

Responsibilities in this position are wide-ranging and provide significant opportunities for learning. Duties include reviewing proposals, archiving media clippings, drafting copy for catalogs, covers and press releases, executing mailings, and maintaining social media accounts.
Length of Internship: 3 months 20 hours per week
Requirements: Candidates must be detail oriented and eager to learn, with excellent written and verbal communication. Applicants should be motivated, independent workers who can work on multiple time-sensitive projects and prioritize deadlines.
Location: New York, NY
Payment: $13/hour
