Company Name: WORKMAN PUBLISHING
Description: Workman Publishing (www.workman.com), an innovative independent publisher of nonfiction books and calendars, seeks a part-time editorial intern who can work 20 to 25 hours a week. Our internships are extremely varied, comprising everything from fact-checking to reading and evaluating unsolicited manuscripts.
Length of Internship: 3 to 6 months
Requirements: The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented student or recent graduate looking to get into book publishing. An interest in children’s books, crafts, self-help, humor, cooking, and photographs of small- to medium-size animals is a plus! Excellent communication and writing skills and proficiency in MS Office are also required. Prior publishing and/or administrative experience is preferred.
