Title: Managing Editorial Assistant
Description: Starry Forest Books is looking for a positive and highly organized managing editorial assistant to coordinate editorial workflow and assist with company operations.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with management, editors, and designers to determine optimal workloads.
• Create and track project schedules.
• Copyedit and proofread files.
• Manage title details in multiple online platforms.
• Gather input from staff and clients for continued operation improvements.

Hours & Location:
• Part-time
• Remote
• Best suited to a freelancer who can handle phone calls during the day with staff.

Starry Forest creates beautiful children's books that are enjoyed worldwide in all languages.
Our titles include the successful Baby's Big World series and the picture book Greek Myths: Goddesses and Gardens.
Requirements: Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1 year publishing experience preferred
• Excellent copyediting and proofreading skills
• High organization and project management skills
• Expertise in Excel, Google Sheets, and project management software
• Passion for children’s books and knowledge of the publishing marketplace
• Excellent people skills for attending to staff and client needs
• Detail oriented
• Positive, flexible attitude
