Title: Web/Marketing Assistant (PT) - Seven Stories Press
Description: Seven Stories Press seeks a part-time (~3 days/week) Web and Marketing Assistant to assist the marketing and publicity department in promoting books to online audiences. Working with the Web Manager, the Director of Publicity and Marketing, and the Director of Academic and Library Marketing, the Web Assistant will be an integral part of the team, helping to maintain our web presence, increase our reach on social media, and aid our publicity and direct-to-consumer marketing efforts.

The starting wage for this position is $20/hr.

Job Duties include:
1. Website maintenance
- Maintain pages for frontlist and select backlist titles, including updating cover images, author bios, marketing copy, and publication dates as needed
- Assist Web Manager with blog maintenance and collection creation
- Assist Web Manager with SEO both internally (website search function) and externally (ex. Google results)
- Participate in select meetings with our developers re: website updates

2. Social Media for TSBYR and Seven Stories
- Help maintain social media pages to increase engagement and follower counts
- Identify accounts/organizations for partnership opportunities (giveaways, storytime, etc.)
- Help draft new images for social media and other promotional materials
- Assist with campaigns to increase our consumer email newsletter list

3. Web Marketing:
- Upload assets such as review quotes and promotional graphics to sales and marketing platforms such as Edelweiss, Amazon A+, and our distributor's title management system, MyHouse
Requirements:
Requirements:
- Interest in social justice publishing and/or world literature
- Commitment to uplifting traditionally marginalized voices
- Strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with Photoshop, InDesign, and Canva
- Experience with social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook (some amount of TikTok experience is preferred but not required)
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS preferred but not required
- Experience maintaining a website or blog preferred but not required
- Experience with Edelweiss or NetGalley preferred but not required
