Description: Melville House interns assist in all matters of the business, gaining a sense of how publishing works at a small, independent publishing house. Typical duties include data base management, assisting with screening submissions, author scheduling, book promotion, proofreading, and general office tasks. Interns are also regularly invited to sit in on editorial and production meetings.
Length of Internship: 4 months, 20 hrs per week
Requirements: The internship position requires an individual who is responsible, versatile and game.
