Newmarket Press, an independent publishing house in New York City, specializing in film, health, parenting, business, and biography, seeks an online marketing and publicity intern to work part-time (15 hours a week) throughout the Fall semester. In this internship, you will assist in online marketing and publicity efforts for our books, working with the Associate Publisher and the Publicity Director. Duties include: researching and developing new internet marketing opportunities, contacting blogs and other online outlets for coverage of our books, and assist in executing online marketing strategy. Could grow into full-time position. |

| Requirements: |
BA or current college student. Excellent written and oral communication skills; be detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to complete projects on deadline. Demonstrated prior interest in publicity or the publishing industry preferred. Solid computer skills, including Excel, Word, FileMaker Pro. Knowledge of online marketing and social networking sites helpful. |
