We are looking for an intern to assist our book publicity department in the promotion of our frontlist (new) and backlist(older) titles. Job responsibilities will include writing press materials, researching media outlets and contacts, media outreach, updating our database of contacts, organizing and completing review copy mailings, filling review copy requests, answering a variety of calls from media, authors, and booksellers, attending meetings, some administrative work, and assisting with daily departmental duties. Internship will start in January 2010 and last through the Spring semester or longer.

| Requirements: |
• Applicant has to be enrolled in a degree-program during the time of internship.
• Intern should be a quick-learner who has an ability to tackle any task at hand, organized and detail-oriented, and is easily able to multi-task and prioritize.
• Applicant has to be authorized to work.
• A strong interest in Marketing/Publicity and the Publishing industry in general.
• Applicant has to commute to Midtown Manhattan, NYC.
• Strong PC skills.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
