Program Name: Simon Fraser University Master of Publishing Master of Publishing
Education Awarded: Masters in Publishing (33 credits)
Description: Comprised of six seminar courses, three publishing simulation projects, an industry internship and an internship report. Developed by the Canadian Centre for Studies in Publishing (CCSP) with the active participation of publishers, it is the ideal forum to work with highly talented peers and to gain first-hand knowledge from leading professionals in the book, magazine and new media industries.

Length: 16 months
Requirements / Eligibility: Persons interested in applying to the Master of Publishing program must have necessary prerequisite knowledge in the areas of accounting and marketing, editing and proofreading, publishing, and computer skills.
Degree with a second class average (B) from a recognized university or equivalent
demonstrated long-term interest in, and some familiarity with, the publishing industry
working knowledge of desktop design software, preferably on Macintosh
