Description: Art Internship
The Art Department at W.W. Norton & Company is seeking an intern for the Fall of 2013.

Qualified candidates should have a graphic design background with an interest in book jacket design. Candidates should be highly enthusiastic and motivated, with strong communication and organizational skills. The art intern will gain exposure to, and learn about, book jacket design and production by assisting two Art Directors in general department functions. Responsibilities may include light design, correcting and trafficking mechanicals, archiving files, making jpegs, scanning and assisting in preparing materials for presentation. In addition, all interns participate in a brown bag lunch program with department heads throughout the company

Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours a week
Requirements: Candidates should have excellent knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop. Illustrator is a plus.
Location: New York, NY
Payment: $7.25/hour
