As our Digital Publishing Intern, you’ll not only master this skill, but gain an insider’s view on the book publishing industry. We’ll coach you how to write killer articles, format them in HTML, promote them on social media, and analyze their impact with Google Analytics. By observing meetings with editors and authors, you’ll learn how to craft a message which catches the public’s attention. This skill is vital for anyone who wants to change the world and make a difference.
Berrett-Koehler Publisher’s Inc. is a mission-driven publishing company that specializes in books that make the world a better place. Our books call for change in society, reform in business, and transformation in individual’s lives. About 50% of the books we publish deal specifically with reforming business to make it more just, sane, and humane. As you might expect from this, we have a very warm and welcoming workplace environment which many former interns have praised.

Length of Internship: 9/1/14 to 12/12/14 (dates are flexible)
Requirements: Qualifications:
• Please note we compensate our interns in school credit, not money, so you must be a current student. All majors welcome.
• Strong sense of humor
• Cares about our company’s mission
• Interest in refining computer skills & writing skills
• Enjoyment of social media
Location: Oakland, CA
