InkWell Management is looking for a paid intern to assist with royalties and accounting, for 2 days a week, 15 hours per week. The hourly rate starts at $10/hr and may be adjusted based on prior experience. The position requires the ability to remain focused while sorting, downloading and scanning a high volume of incoming royalty statements. The assistant is also responsible for the proper naming and storage of processed royalty statements in our database. Other tasks include weekly foreign mailings, vendor account research, general file management, and a variety of data entry or data research projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn about royalty statement processing and data management in a literary agency setting. The position has a great track record for eventual full-time job placement at InkWell or in the publishing industry.

Requirements: Job Qualifications

Applicants must be articulate, enthusiastic, and hold a high level of interest in the publishing field. Prior experience with publishing royalties is not required, as training will be provided. Strong analytical, MS Excel, and computer skills are necessary. The ideal candidate should be motivated, quick-thinking, detail-oriented and thorough. The individual must be highly organized and have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, with and without direct supervision.
