Internship Detail

[Back to Internships]

Company Name: CREATIVE MEDIA AGENCY, INC.
Description: Are you looking for a dynamic internship and the chance to work closely with an agent whose interests you share on work that really matters? CMA interns often evaluate manuscript submissions, edit manuscripts and nonfiction book proposals, write pitch letters, communicate with authors and editors, and learn the ins and outs of publishing contracts.

CMA is happy to offer both remote internships as well as traditional in-office internships. We are located in the Richmond, VA area—transportation to a home office is necessary for in-office interns. There will be one mandatory staff meeting twice a month via conference call. We require a minimum of 16 hours each week. Although we are flexible, we look for a full semester commitment; our summer internship will run from mid-May to late-August.

You may visit us online at www.cmalit.com!

Ideal interns will be interested in both the business and editorial side of publishing, be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook), be proficient at researching and writing, and have a keen editorial eye.
Location: Near Richmond, VA
Application Due Date: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until our roster is filled.
Payment: Our internships are unpaid, but we are happy to work with students to ensure that they receive credit from their schools (we do not require interns to receive credit).
