Company Name: HANNIGAN GETZLER LITERARY AGENCY
Description: HG Literary offers part-time spring, summer, and fall internships at our office in Manhattan. Interns work directly with our agents to get a hands-on feel for what daily life at a literary agency entails.

Responsibilities include reading manuscripts from both potential clients and current agency clients, assessing quality of submissions, and providing editorial feedback. Interns also also learn to write reader's reports, rejection letters, editorial letters, and pitch letters.
Length of Internship: 10 weeks, 2 days per week
Requirements: We look for interns who are curious, interested in pursuing a career in publishing, and hungry to learn. At any given time, we have between one and three interns, which gives us the opportunity to truly mentor each person and tailor the program to individual interests. Many of our interns go on to have successful careers in publishing.
