Description: | Algonquin Young Readers, an imprint of Algonquin Books, seeks an intern to work with our dedicated team in the New York, NY, office. In this role you will work closely with the Associate Editor and the Marketing Manager to assist with a variety of projects, including evaluating submissions, administrative support for the publisher and editorial team, coordinating mailings to accounts, ordering promotional materials, maintaining schedules, updating documents, and maintaining social media channels.
Ideal candidates will be organized, detail-oriented, experienced with Excel, and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong writing skills and administrative experience a plus. We are looking for an intern who will be able to start as soon as possible and commit to 15-25 hours a week for a minimum of 3 months. About Algonquin Young Readers: Algonquin Young Readers publishes books for readers seven to seventeen. From short illustrated novels for the youngest independent readers to timely and topical crossover young adult fiction, what ties our books together are unforgettable characters, absorbing stories, and superior writing. |
