Company Name: JEAN V. NAGGAR LITERARY AGENCY, INC.
Description: JVNLA offers internships throughout the year for students with an interest in publishing. We require that an intern commits to working 20 hours a week for a period of 3-4 months. The internship involves tasks that are designed to acquaint an intern with the daily workings of a literary agency, as well as the world of publishing as a whole. We are looking for detail-oriented, hard-working applicants. If you are interested, please provide your contact information, resume, and a short explanation of why you would be a good candidate.

This is a small office and the intern would be trained in a number of areas: including but not limited to, use of a software program used by a variety of literary agencies and publishers, the nature of the submission process both domestically and internationally, along with other various projects; including database entry, social media, and assisting with royalty statements and contracts.

Our interns will gain a strong understanding of publishing and the inner workings of a well-established literary agency, with a strong track record both domestically and internationally.

Due to COVID-19, our fall internship will be remote.
Length of Internship: September to mid-December; start and end dates are flexible
Requirements: -Applicants must be receiving school credit and available to work at least 2 days a week.
-Applicants should demonstrate a knowledge of and passion for books and the publishing industry, have excellent verbal and writing skills, and a critical eye.
Location: Remote for Fall 2020
Payment: Unpaid (for credit only)
