Company Name: PIPPIN PROPERTIES, INC.
Description: Pippin Properties, Inc. seeks to hire an Agency Intern. This internship centers itself around day-to-day administrative support for our team, gaining a broad and intimate view of agenting.

Our ideal intern candidate will have a strong interest in and curiosity for all genres with a special affinity for children’s literature. They will also be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and equipped with a positive, friendly attitude. As a close-knit agency, we hope to prepare our interns to thrive in the industry, exposing each candidate to a variety of long and short-term projects to build a holistic view of publishing at large.

Responsibilities will include:
~Update company website, including online portfolios, book covers, and client content
~Create social media content and update the social media calendar
~Evaluate, read, and report on manuscripts for the literary agents
~Digital File Organization
~Basic clerical and administrative duties
~Review, enter, and chart U.S. based and worldwide translation deals
~Tailored company projects based on your skill set


Our ideal candidate is available 15-20 hours a week and will work in our New York City office. This is a paid internship running May through August 2024.
Length of Internship: May - August (flexible start and end dates)
Requirements: ~Passionate about literature for young people and curious about the publishing industry
~Meticulous, able to prioritize quickly, and great with multitasking
~Independent worker and strong communicator
~Resourceful / creative problem solver
~Mac / Microsoft Office Suite efficient; experience with Adobe Suite and Canva a plus
~Covid Vaccination required
Location: New York, NY

Payment: $15 per hour
