| Title: | Cover artist (Remote) |
| Description: | Cover artist responsible for approximately 30-35 titles per year.
Major Responsibilities: •Create and execute stunning cover and interior designs for all fiction and nonfiction titles •Present design concepts to publisher for approval •Create design and type specifications for compositor •Collaborate and liaise with editors and other in-house departments |
| Requirements: | •A proven ability to envision and execute outstanding design
•Strong typographic skills •Skilled at photo/art/illustrator research •Thorough knowledge and experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and related applications •Illustration skills a plus, but not required Experience Needed: •A minimum of 2 years of work in the field •Proven ability to meet tight deadlines Educational Background Required: •College level training at an accredited art school preferred, but not required. |
