Title: Part-time Copyright & Permissions Specialist

We have a part-time opening for a Copyright and Permissions Specialist responsible for assisting with copyright registrations, making book deposits, reviewing and securing permissions. There may be other duties assigned in supporting our intellectual rights management. West Academic is the leading provider of casebooks, study aid and other legal education materials in the US. We are growth oriented organization, dedicated to providing our customers with the best available legal education materials. This is an ideal job for an entry level JD or a Paralegal graduate. Job hours would be 20 hours/week.

Job Responsibilities
Ensure copyright registrations are completed within a timely basis.
Review and secure permissions for West Academic.
Complete quarterly audits on trademark and copyright registrations.
Complete projects related to copyright and permissions for the Copyright Counsel.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree
Prefer candidate with a JD or Paralegal Certification
Prior experience with IP Rights Management required
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written communication skills
Strong organizational and research skills a must
Experience in academic or legal publishing preferred
