Title: Children's Book Editor
Description: Starry Forest Books is looking for a passionate editor to acquire new titles in collaboration with our creative team.

Responsibilities
• Develop new series and title ideas
• Acquire new titles across categories
• Communicate with authors, illustrators, and agents to develop projects from concept to publication
• Edit manuscripts and review art
• Closely track and manage projects for timely execution
• Manage relationships with publishing partners

Hours & Location
• Flexible hours
• Remote
• Periodic phone calls with creative team and publishing partners

Starry Forest creates beautiful children's books that are enjoyed worldwide in all languages.
Our titles include the successful series Baby's Big World and the picture book Windows, an inspiring look at the world right now, told through the voices of children everywhere.
Requirements: Expertise in one or more of the following categories:
• Nonfiction
• Picture Books
• Novelty and Activity
• Graphic Novels
• Audiobooks
• eBooks

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 3 years children's book publishing experience
• High organization and project management skills
• Passion for children’s books and knowledge of the marketplace
• Excellent people skills
• Strong aesthetic and the ability to communicate creative direction
• Detail oriented
• Positive, flexible attitude
