Description: | Overview
The Digital Services Associate is a support role for all IPG client publishers during the submission process, fielding any requests prior to digital distribution. This position is responsible for reviewing and approving a high volume of incoming ebook content from all IPG publishing programs, including Small Press United, Trafalgar Square Publishing, Academic & Professional Publishing, and INscribe Digital. As part of the submission process, the Digital Services Associate will also assist with conversion requests, working with IPG’s various conversion partners to create the ebook files. This position is crucial to the health of the digital catalog from IPG’s client publishers, assisting the Digital team in the overall distribution process. IPG’s Digital department is a high-volume, fast-moving operation, and the Digital Services Associate must be up for the task with great adaptability, attention to detail, and problem solving to ensure all processes move as smoothly as possible. Success in this position demands an interest in the publishing world and providing publishers, many of whom are small presses, with attentive customer service. Responsibilities and Duties • Review & approve ebook submissions via IPG’s Title Submission form. • Assist with preparing titles for distribution daily. • Submit files and data to conversion partners as requested by IPG publishers. • Maintain projects for client publishers using a ticketing service to ensure comprehensive communication and to meet SLAs. • Prepare and distribute Search Inside the Book (SITB) files for previewing purposes on vendor sites. • Collaborate with the Digital Services team on workflow process from submission to distribution. • Communicate with IPG Client Publishers regarding the status of their submissions and conversions. |
Requirements: | Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite programs. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to learn quickly and work independently. • Superior attention to detail and tireless drive to solve problems. • Basic knowledge of HTML5. • Travel requirements: None • Physical abilities. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time in an office environment. |
