Requirements: Marketing:
• Coordinating and executing marketing mailings.
• Coding all marketing invoices, receiving approvals, submitting to
AP, and tracking spending.
• Uploading content including excerpts, reviews, videos, book
descriptions, bios, and endorsements to in-house and external
systems and websites.
• Representing publisher at select trade shows and assisting with
booth set-up and break-down.
• Updating website with new product pages each season using best
practices like tags, keyword phrases, and SEO.
• Submitting titles for state awards (i.e. Texas Bluebonnet, etc.)
and national awards (i.e. Newbery, Printz, Caldecott, etc).
• Assist with updating, proofreading, and ordering International
Rights Guide twice per year.
• Creating and updating sell sheets for titles and series.

Publicity:
• Helping to create publicity materials such as press releases,
author bios, Q&A’s.
• Preparing mailings of publicity/press materials and books to
reviewers and other media contacts.
• Developing, compiling, and maintaining accurate and current
information for media contact database and local and national media
lists.
• Sending galley and reprint mailings to trade publications and
associations.
• Responsible for holiday card mailing.
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
preferred, or college course work and knowledge gained through
equivalent work experience.
• Previous office or internship experience, publishing preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate well, both written and orally.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with keen
attention to detail.
• Strong initiative and creativity.
• Computer skills—proficiency in MS, Excel, Outlook, Mailchimp &
Canva.
• Adept at learning new computer-based programs and online social
media platforms.
• Background or interest in graphic design.
• Basic knowledge of the publishing and media industries.

• Hybrid schedule and will be based out of our New York City
office
