Title: Sr. Acquisitions Editor - Blackstone Publishing
Description: Blackstone Publishing is seeking an experienced and driven individual to join the Content Acquisitions team as Sr. Acquisitions Editor. In this role, you will review and acquire content for all-rights deals and audio-only deals across a wide range of genres, including commercial and literary fiction, mystery, historical, thriller, young adult, a range of speculative fiction, and narrative non-fiction. As a key member of the acquisitions team for both Blackstone Publishing and Blackstone Audio, you will have significant say in selecting our newest releases across formats.

Core Responsibilities:
- Review submissions from existing partners across a wide range of genres
- Solicit submissions from new partners, and build out key relationships
- Create and analyze P&L statements and deal projections, and pitch internally
- Offer, negotiate, and close deals for all rights and audiobook acquisition
- Manage a significant list of agency and publisher partner accounts
Requirements: Qualifications and Requirements:
- Min. 5 years’ experience with a strong record of successful deals and relationships
- Extraordinarily well read with a fine ability to discern quality storytelling
- Holds knowledge of the market at large and has confident opinions on trends
- Thrives in a fast-paced work environment with ample responsibility
- Outstanding communicator, written and verbal
- Creative thinker, willing to try new things

Preferred Experience:
- Reviewing or acquiring young adult fiction
- In audiobook publishing, or strong interest in the audio market
- Working with CRMs, or deal-tracking software
