Title: Library Sales Representative
Description: We are looking for a results-driven, detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Library Sales Representative, overseeing partnerships with academic institutions in the Midwestern United States. The position is full-time, with up to 40% travel when we are safely able to do so again. We are a growing group responsible for selling digital books and journals to academic institutions across the Americas. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to broaden their experience in academic publishing and sales.

Digital product sales requires an increasingly balanced approach, combining data-driven techniques with strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills. Our ideal candidate is a quick learner, personable, adaptable, and a self-starter; comfortable both with team work and working independently. Also vital to the role are strong organizational skills, tenacity, and the ability to proactively problem solve and seek solutions.

Cambridge's Library Sales team supports a diverse market of academic institutions within the Americas and strive to grow our customer base over the coming years. We are a lean but passionate group, with a strong sense of work-life balance and humor, primarily based in the NYC area. Our team has been working remotely since the onset of the pandemic, so for the time being this position would be remote. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds/experiences, who possess the qualities described here.

We are prioritizing NYC-area based candidates, but will consider strong candidates based remotely / in the Midwest.
Requirements: • You are a diverse thinker with diverse interests – and are interested in sales and scholarly publishing

• You are organized and results-driven, able to build, grow, and convert a strong sales pipeline

• You have a proven record of results-oriented work

• You’re at ease in front of internal and external customers

• You're comfortable working with new systems, processes, and programs including client relationship management systems (Salesforce or similar) and Excel

• You're a responsive and proactive communicator and problem solver – with a strong sense of customer service

• You can work independently, as well as within a group
Location: NYC or Remote Midwest
