The Director of Sales – Mass and Special Markets will own and expand a vibrant and successful relationship with Readerlink, deepen relationships with Walmart, SAM’s, Costco, and other, and lead a team of established and seasoned sales professionals managing national specialty chains, gift accounts, customer/proprietary, corporate sales, new business development, and online specialty accounts. This is the opportunity for a successful and connected mass market sales professional to take the career to a whole new level by expanding the Readerlink business and owning an important, growing segment of the business. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING… Growing sales at Readerlink and its associated customers through personal selling and frequent contact with end-customer executives and teams Growing sales in the special markets through vision casting, goal setting, and management to an established, tenured team of aggressive sales professionals and assistant Contributing to the expansion of Sourcebooks as a member of the senior Leadership Team, inspiring others in areas of growth, tackling strategic challenges to the organization, and planning for the future in areas well beyond the scope of these sales channels |
| Requirements: | YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE…
5+ (10+ years preferred) of experience in selling to Readerlink is required; deep personal relationships with the executive product management staff Strong personal relationships with buyers and executives at Readerlink customers including Walmart, Target, SAM’s, and Costco Management experience with a verifiable history of setting and achieving aggressive goals and coaching team members to achieve more that they believe is possible; if a remote candidate, experience managing teams remotely is required A desire for growth and expansion for revenue, knowledge, impact, and experience that is insatiable and defines who you are The flexibility to change course on a dime and to relentlessly pursue opportunities that you never saw coming Our culture is driven by energetic thinkers who possess leadership qualities and the desire for personal growth.
