Title: | Educational Marketing and Consumer Outreach Assist |
Description: | Candlewick Press, a leading publisher of books for children located in Somerville, MA, seeks an Educational Marketing and Consumer Outreach Assistant to join our talented team. The assistant will work with the Executive Director of Educational/Library Sales and Educational Marketing and the Consumer and Educational Outreach Manager to promote and market our books to the educational market and beyond.
Educational Marketing specific duties will include: maintaining mailing lists and administering seasonal mailings; sending books for award consideration; maintaining examination center database; maintaining the promotional materials grid and the seasonal Sales Conference notes and marketing plans for the Educational marketing team; attending meetings and providing updates to the team as needed. Consumer Outreach specific duties include: assisting with Candlewick corporate Facebook and Instagram accounts to include scheduling posts and drafting creative copy and content; assisting with supporting our existing and new partnerships, including ordering and mailing books, as well as alerting them to new releases; assisting with Candlewick podcasts, including writing episode descriptive copy; maintaining and sharing quarterly reports of podcasts stats; and researching new prospective partnerships. This role will also help with newsletters, content for our social media accounts, and gathering and distributing materials and researching partnership and promotional opportunities for our MIT Kids Press and MITeen Press imprints. In addition, other administrative tasks such as placing comp copy orders with our distributor, checking inventory levels of our titles in the PRH system; and helping with conference and show prep, will also be necessary. |
