Rosen Publishing seeks a full-time Graphic Designer who will be responsible for production of visually appealing, custom book covers. Working from home is an option but a quick turnaround is sometimes necessary and attention to detail is crucial. Potential candidates should possess a portfolio that can be viewed online of current and past work. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Design and execute production of interior and book covers (front/back/spine) for titles across the Rosen imprints, ensuring focus on market categories and customer needs. - Prepare final files for delivery to meet print vendor requirements. - Work closely with the Vice President of Creative, Production, and Editorial Departments to ensure books are produced efficiently, on time, and with high-quality standards. - Review color proofs for quality. | Requirements: | Qualifications:
- Motivated with great design ideas, including familiarity with standard design concepts relating to book publishing, but creative enough to introduce fresh and innovative looks. - Expertise in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and Reader - Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and an ability to perform a variety of tasks under multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Effectively communicate with both internal and external sources, at all levels of the organization. - Experience in design and layout. Should possess a complete understanding of the production layout process. |
