Title: | Production Developer |
Description: | Chronicle Books is looking for a Production Developer to oversee the development of titles (book and non-book) in a cost-effective and creative manner. They will spearhead the production development effort and implement a strategy of distinctive publishing to garner broad market channel success.
The Production Developer will work with creative teams to generate title specifications, they will review figures to determine cost-effective printing, and they will guide the teams in using the best efficiencies and interpretations of publishing concept. They will troubleshoot pre-production problems, they will create and monitor schedules for all assigned titles, and they will maintain title purchase orders while ensuring product compliance with Chronicle Books’ environmental paper policies. The person in this role will need to stay updated on industry standards and technology, they will establish relevant outside networks, and they will be responsible for special projects to enhance the Production effort of Chronicle Books. Requirements: | Qualified applicants will need 1 to 2 years of print project management experience in publishing, working knowledge of Adobe Suite, strong Excel skills, and clear communication and organization abilities. A history of working on non-book titles (formats and games), and color/offset printing experience is preferred. Please note – this role is a print manufacturing position, not a design position. |
