Title: Social Media and Office Assistant
Description: Akashic Books is looking for a part-time employee to work in our dynamic Brooklyn office. The hours of this in-person position are 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., five days a week, for $15/hour. A completed vaccination series against COVID-19 is required to enter our office complex.

Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: running our social media; supporting publicity outreach; mailing out books from our office via USPS and UPS; database research and updating; supporting editorial work by inputting edits in Microsoft Word and Adobe InDesign (prior InDesign experience is preferred but not required).

Requirements: Ideal candidates are those who can work independently and collaboratively; have excellent writing, research, and communication skills; keen attention to detail; and have a strong interest in contemporary literature and independent culture.
