Title: Marketing Director
Description: Humanoids is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join its US Publishing Division in the role of Marketing Director, US Publishing.

Candidates must have a public relations and marketing background and passion for comics and popular culture. The position requires the ability to work quickly while maintaining an exceptional attention to detail in an environment of strict deadlines, often with interruptions and changing priorities.

This role reports to the Publisher/President of Publishing, and will be responsible for managing all Marketing for Humanoids’ publications in English, both print and digital. A non-exhaustive list of duties in this role includes:

- Plan, strategize, develop, and execute all Marketing efforts, from inception to completion. This includes public relations, social media, promotions, asset creation, advertising, and more.
- Work with internal and external partners, as well as independently, to grow our audience through compelling brand content, partnerships, and communication.
- Analyze marketing efforts with a critical eye; make data informed decisions and recommendations. Prepare relevant reports and analysis to share this information with leadership and other team members.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to help define and unify Humanoids’ brand identity and market presence across platforms and products.
- Manage our day-to-day marketing and PR, including planning and executing social media campaigns, community management, pitching stories with press outlets, creating assets, etc.

- Live in Los Angeles! Able to work out of our Hollywood office 4+ days a week. Some flexibility in hours can be expected. Must be open to occasional travel, both in and out of the country, as needed.
- Able to think both creatively and analytically.
- Work collaboratively with others, and are excited to foster and build relationships with our readers through a variety of outlets.
- Remain informed of marketing and relevant trends, both in and out of our industry.
- Excited to experiment within the marketing space while also evaluating past efforts with a critical eye.
- Able to engage comfortably with people at all levels of the organization, as well as a variety of external partners and creators.
- Several years of professional experience running social media for a major media outlet, brand, or related space.
- Maintain working knowledge of relevant social media channels, such as Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.
- Comfortable using data to tell a story.
- Exceptional time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Positive attitude, including the ability to be resourceful and find solutions to projects and problems.
- Proficient with MS Office, including Word and Excel, as well as Adobe Suite for Mac. Ideal candidate is able to utilize design tools to create assets as needed.
- Comfortable with representing the company on camera or in person for live streams, events, etc. Ideally, some knowledge of live streaming and video production.
- Valid driver’s license.

Additional details:

Physical Requirements: Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal and telephone communication. Ability to sit for long periods, standing, computer entry, walking, repeated bending, lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs, reaching. Ability to travel within and outside the county as needed. Environmental Requirements: Must be able to work indoors in a predominantly sedentary position. Wide range of physical motion required to include bending, twisting, standing, walking, carrying boxes and supplies, sitting for long periods of time, answering the telephone, using hands to type and enter data and perform a wide range of office and clerical duties. Must consistently maintain composure and meet office challenges with maturity, objectively and strive to deliver the utmost in customer service at all times.

Scheduling and Availability: Due to the nature of the industry and communication with international offices working hours are variable, which may include evenings and weekends. Generally, office hours are from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday with one hour for lunch. Position is 40+ hours per week.
