Title: Sales Coordinator
Description: SUMMARY:
The Sales Coordinator will support the Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million sales teams and will serve as assistant to the EVP Group Sales Director, SVP, Retail Sales. This person will coordinate sales activities and materials; arrange travel; coordinate and prepare materials for onsite, domestic and international meetings; compile and analyze sales reports and assist in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the Sales Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage calendars, domestic and international travel arrangements and expense reports for several Sales executives
• Manage meetings including reserving conference rooms, setting up teleconferencing and conference calls
• Create and run daily and weekly sales reports; analyze data and highlight trends, etc. for executives; track sales orders
• Support various National Account managers in preparing for sales calls
• Prepare National Account Mangers for weekly/monthly meetings by running reports and conducting analysis using Excel (V-Lookup)
• Assist with sales related projects and initiatives as assigned
• Facilitate efficient operations of the Sales Department; liaise with in-house departments as necessary
Requirements: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Must possess a strong working knowledge of MS Word, Microsoft Excel (V Look up), PowerPoint, Outlook, and databases
• Attention to detail and financial acumen
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills essential
• Proven ability to work independently and take initiative and support several executives in a busy environment with changing priorities
• The candidate must be highly organized, able to prioritize and maintain confidential information, detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Interest in sales and the publishing field

The compensation for this position is $50,000 - $55,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
