Title:	Book Scout
Description:	Established book scouting agency reporting to major international publishers of adult trade and children's / young adult books has an opening on their team of four. The person in the position will work on both adult trade and children's titles. Reading of manuscripts and proposals, writing reports, monitoring industry trends, database entry, logging and trafficking materials are all daily parts of this demanding, dynamic job at the heart of the book publishing industry. Salary range is $47,500+ depending on experience.
Requirements:	We look for candidates with demonstrated editorial and administrative excellence as well as good social networking skills. Candidates should have a degree in literature or a closely related field, and book publishing experience especially in editorial or rights is strongly preferred.

Location:	At this time this is a remote, work-from-home position, but there are ongoing in-person and office meetings in NYC, so all candidates whom we consider need to be in regular commutable distance to it.
