About the Temporary Position: (This is not a 100% remote position/ MANDATORY IN OFFICE: Tuesday & Wednesday)
First Book has an exciting opportunity for entrepreneurial individuals who share a passion for our mission, and possess superior creative skills including content creation, writing and producing/editing videos.



A successful employee will have many of the following skills/experience:

Ability and desire to write and copyedit content, both creating original pieces and updating previously produced materials
Social media content creation — including writing content, creating images and videos
Experience designing in Canva
Experience with WordPress and basic HTML skills, knowledge of basic SEO best practices preferred
Ability to synthesize and paraphrase findings into a strong story
Willingness and resourcefulness to jump into projects, with guidance from staff
Strong organizational skills and attention to details to help maintain consistent updates across all digital platforms, both internal and external
Open communication style where you feel comfortable interacting across teams and staff


Cool projects you will work on:

Partnership support for companies like LEGO, Audemars Piguet, Build-A-Bear Workshop, New York Life Foundation, and many more
Video creation and editing to show the impact of our great work
First Book content marketing + blog writing
First Book social media accounts
Supporting storytelling initiatives through video creation and editing to show the impact of our work
Managing digital media library


What you will learn:

Content marketing best practices
Branding + corporate positioning best practices
Social media management + best practices
Storytelling strategy + best practices


**In addition to an hourly wage, First Book will pay commuting costs throughout the duration of the temporary position**
