Title: Publishing Assistant - Radius Book Group
Description: Radius Book Group is seeking a Publishing Assistant who has a “no job too small” work ethic who is ready to join our growing publishing team. The right candidate will have a profound appreciation of nonfiction books and will already have 1–3 years of relevant industry experience gained through substantial internships and/or work-related experience. In this role, you will provide a unique opportunity to support the team in all aspects of the publishing process. Editorial / Production
* Maintain and organize consumer pages and production schedules for projects
* Prepare book description copy, sales tip sheets, and other sales assets
* Proofread book interior and cover files
* Assist authors on image collection and maintain records for books with interior art
* Support authors with promotional & marketing efforts, such as blurb outreach
* Communicate with authors, agents, partners, and vendors

Administrative
* Attend meetings, maintain agendas, and take meeting notes
* Prepare book submissions and maintain historical rejections and acquisitions log
* Coordinate book registration with the US Copyright office
* Process book orders and income/expense invoices
* Perform upkeep of sales/distribution data system
* Maintain marketing blurbs on our website through WordPress
* Manage social media content on Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and other platforms
* Assist other departments including production, design, marketing, publicity, and accounting
* Coordinate and schedule meetings with literary agents and prospective clients
Requirements: * Undergraduate degree or higher in relevant field(s)
* 1–3 years book-publishing experience a must
* Excellent and professional written and verbal communication skills
* Emanate professionalism during in-person and virtual meetings
* Proficient in Dropbox, Google Suite, and all Microsoft applications
* Familiarity with publishing industry technology a plus—Nielsen BookScan, Adobe Creative Suite
