Description: Be part of an exciting, top Manhattan-based literary agency! We represent NYTimes bestselling authors and award-winning books! We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and creative social media/special projects intern who can also read and evaluate manuscripts and proposals. We are looking for someone driven and organized with great writing and communication skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a positive attitude to each task. Our brand specializes in nonfiction and literary fiction and is a part of the Irene Goodman Literary Agency. Interest and experience in books, magazines, blogs, writing or editing essential. Finger on the pulse of hot topics and future trends ideal.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist with the day-to-day management, development, scheduling and content creation of our official Instagram account.
Assist with finding/creating content.
Assist with the coordination and execution of brand partnerships, PR and influencer marketing.
Evaluate book proposals and manuscripts.
Help discover new clients and trends
Update website
Length of Internship: 3 months
Requirements: Preferred Requirements:
College Degree
Superior writing and editing skills
Prior experience in content creation
In-depth understanding of social media
Tech and Internet savvy with a strong creative aesthetic
Experience with Adobe Photoshop, graphic design, and photography is a plus
Excellent phone and interpersonal skills
Location: Remote or NYC Area
Application Due Date: June 15, 2022
Payment: Monthly stipend, compensation commensurate with experience. Potential for upward movement. You will be replacing a prior intern who was promoted to assistant and is now a junior agent with her own client list.
